Shop in air-conditioned tents outside KL Sentral

KUALA LUMPUR: While Deepavali is just around the corner, the mad rush for last minute shopping was inevitable among the Indian community here in Malaysia. While some might be spending less due to budget constraints, the celebration will be celebrated at a massive scale.


If you’re still looking for the perfect sarees, fashion accessories and other decorative goods in the lowest price possible, do head out to the 9th Air Asia Deepavali Carnival 2010, happening from October 22 to November 4 located at the open space car park area at KL Sentral. It's open from 12am to 12pm every day.

Traders from India, Pakistan and Malaysia have set up 170 booths that offer the widest range of products to shop from. Each year there will be variations to the types of goods sold at the Carnival. This is to ensure that visitors always have something new to view and consider to purchase.

Those who want to purchased goods like handicrafts, textiles, footwear, jewellery, condiments, sarees, Punjabi suits, herbal products, leather goods, wooden and metal carvings; beauty products can make their shops here at the cheapest price. Everything there is readily available under one roof.

In addition, there was Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Y. B. Senator Datuk T Murugiah and his entourage. Datuk Murugiah paid a special visit to the carnival, greeting each shoppers and vendors and wishing them Happy Deepavali.
