Stop Hogging the Limelight, Samy

Published at 4:27 PM in

As everyone knows, MIC President Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu has been serving the party for 31 years since 1979. Meanwhile on March 2008 General Election, Samy Vellu lost his seat and now he will step down from MIC very soon.

Pressure had been mounting on Samy Vellu to step down as the MIC president especially after the formation of the Anti-Samy Vellu Movement (GAS) by former MIC Youth Deputy Chief V. Mugilan.

Samy Vellu should give the chance to others to become a leader since he has served the organization for almost 31 years. Therefore, the Indian community in Sungai Siput is unhappy with him and let him lost the election.

As a 72 year-old man, he should be resting at home, spend more time with his family. He should let the next generation take the reins but he does not care about it. Thus, Mahathir condemned Samy Vellu, saying that he should not stay for too long and should give a chance to others.
